Sarah D.
Private tutor in Westerville, OH
Education
I am currently studying Education at Capital University. I am in my fifth year and only have my student teaching left to complete. My focuses are in early childhood and special education.
Experience
I have been tutoring students for about two years now both inside and outside classes. I have been focusing on reading intervention and helping kids who have specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia. I am almost done with my degree so I have taken all of the child development and intervention classes necessary to becoming a teacher to accompany my experience with children. I really enjoy working one on one with kids to help them learn academic subjects as well as life skills. Teaching kids is what I have chosen to do with my life and I am very passionate about making learning unique for every child. Reading is one of my favorite subjects to tutor in because I truly believe that the ability to read is one of the most precious gifts in life. I also enjoy tutoring in other subjects such as math and science as well as general homework help. I am very flexible regarding hours and rates because I believe that every child should have access to education and I am committed to making that possible.
